In an interview with KTN on Thursday, Malala said that it is interesting for Kuria to claim he is ready to attend BBI rallies yet he has been on the forefront in condemning the leaders attending the same.

He challenged the lawmaker to come clean noting that Kenyans are tired of doublespeak on such critical issues.

"Moses Kuria is condemning the process of BBI yet he wants to come to the same function in Mombasa. Is he genuine in his attendance?" Malala said, according to a tweet by KTN News Alerts.

Deputy President William Ruto's allies recently made a dramatic about-turn about forums and announced that they will also be attending.

The Senator, a close ally of ODM leader Raila Odinga also asked politicians not to approach the BBI report from an individual point of view.

He said that it is important for leaders to look at the general welfare of Kenyans whenever they are talking about the report and not their selfish interests.

"Let us stop the individualistic approach to the BBI report. Let us look at how it benefits all Kenyans," he argued.

The Senator further said that elected leaders have been given the powers to engage the electorate in critical issues and they should always do so.
