Everyone in a relationship needs love and care. When a partner is emotionally absent, they lose interest, became calm and seem stressed.
Becoming emotionally absent can be caused by either low self-esteem, feeling weak or shame. This needs time and support to enable them to become emotionally available.
This can be solved by doing the following;
1. Show how much you love them
This is the best time to recognize any small act your partner has done or did. Show them you truly care about what they feel or are going through. Make them realize that they are special to you. While doing this, focus on creating a cool environment for your discussion.
2. Be patient with them
Allow your partner to take their own time and express by themselves how they feel. Listen to them when they offer to talk about what has been bothering them. Respect their feelings and willingness to share. Do not hurry them to share. Take easy on them
3. Engage them in a conversation
Start up a conversation to make your partner become emotionally present. They will feel the urge to share out their feelings in that conversation. Lack of communication will push them away making them less distant of what is going on in their lives.
