Popular Kenyan artiste, Akothee's daughter, Aggrey Dion Okello alias Cely Rue Baby has been nominated for an international award in modelling as the Model of the Year.
The award, Diaspora Entertainment Awards Recognition (D.E.A.R) announced on its social media that Rue is among other contestants from around the world who had been selected.
As any mother would be proud of her child's success, Akothee went to the social media to express her happiness.
"Waking up to God's blessings @rue baby from Rongo to the world, go my baby go, Vote @rue baby best Model of the year @Dearawards. Well, I did your visas before you became a professional model thinking of just travelling the world with you but now you are travelling for good and better reasons," Akothee posted on her social media pages.
Announcing the nomination, Dearawards lauded Rue for following in to her mother's steps.
Akothee was nominated in the same awards in 2017 and won the Best Female Artist in Texas, USA
"An apple does not fall far from the tree, just like the mother Dion Okello has made a name for herself in the modelling industry. Please congradulate Aggre Dion Okello for her nomination to the DearAwards 2018," a post on Dear Awards social media pages read as quoted by the Standard Digital Entertainment.
