Wiper party is expected to lose heavily in Nyamira County as its strong Borabu Constituency Member of Parliament Ben Momonyi hinted at joining Jubilee party.
Speaking in West Mogirango at St Joseph Catholic Church during a fundraiser presided by the deputy president Dr. William Ruto, Momanyi has revealed his plans out of Wiper.
"Your Excellency as you keep traversing the country working, I want to assure you that we will walk and work together on this journey. 2017 nilikuwa nawanasa na nyinyi mkasema tuko pamoja na sasa tuko pamoja," he revealed.
Momanyi who was elected in 2017 on a wiper ticket and who is also a commissioner at the Parliamentary Service commission chaired by the speaker has thanked the deputy president for influencing Jubilee Mps to vote for him in parliament.
"And I can tell you, Politics can create enmity among us. We elections were over and we resumed parliament when I was seeking support as a commissioner my NASA colleagues we worked together turned against me. But the Deputy and the president stood with me and clearly told Jubilee MPs to vote for me," he added.
Before the 2017 elections were over, Momanyi had revealed and admitted that Ruto and the president tried to lure him join Jubilee but he resisted.
"Those members of parliament we were within 2017 were chased away and remained alone. I want to say the truth the deputy and the president himself invited me we sat and had a talk. They told me Momanyi Join us here but I told them no wacha niwanasekidogo," he confessed.
Momanyi has urged Omogusii community to support the Deputy president in his election as the president come 2022.
Ben Momanyi is currently serving his second term as the Wiper member Parliament for Borabu Constituency in Nyamira County.
