Nosy netizens have been penetrating the private life of murder suspect Jacque Maribe since she was arrested over the murder of Monica Kimani.
Maribe was thrust into the drama after her lover Joseph Irungu alias Jowie shot himself in her house raising the antennae of detectives.
The journalist’s age has been a question as debate on her life continues.
In a statement to the police, Jacque revealed her age.
“I am above 18 years and able to read and write. This statement is in English language.
I make it to the best of my knowledge and believe knowingly that if tendered in court as evidence I may be liable for prosecution if I willingly state in it anything that is fake or believed to be untrue.
I am the above-named person, Kenyan Kikuyu adult aged 30. I work at Royal Media Services as a senior reporter and news anchor. The above are my particulars,” she is quoted in the statement.
Maribe is a mother of one and her career has been on a steady rise before trouble came knocking.
The celebrated journalist will appear before Justice James Wakiaga on Wednesday, October 17 for a bail application.
On Monday October 15, Maribe and Jowie were jointly charged with murdering Monica Kimani.
