While speaking during a series of rallies ion Matuga and Msambweni constituencies in the Coast region on Monday, the former Vice President said that history has it that former opposition leaders end up a State House.

According to Mudavadi, he is currently the leader of opposition in the country even as he cited examples of past position holders who clinched the presidency including retired President Daniel Arap Moi and Mwai Kibaki, and current President Uhuru Kenyatta.

"Uhuru was in opposition as chairman of KANU and he is now President,  Moi was in the opposition and became President, Mwai Kibaki was in the opposition and became President," said Mudavadi as quoted by Citizen Digital.

"I, Mudavadi, I am also now in opposition, why would I not become President?," asked the former Sabatia MP.

Since President Uhuru Kenyatta handshake with ODM leader Raila Odinga, Mudavadi has been the face of the virtually dead National Super Alliance (NASA) where he has been putting the government on toes on various issues affecting the country.
