Former Jubilee vice chairperson David Murathe Sunday night expressed his fears about the prospect of a Ruto presidency.
Speaking on a prime time television programme, the outspoken political operator said he had serious reservations about Ruto's behaviour as deputy president and feared how he would behave when he became president.
"I have my own reservations but coming from where we are coming from, we also had expectations about how the leadership has behaved up to now. We have seen how it has behaved up to now. Some of us are genuinely scared if they can behave like this when they are number two, what they are likely to do if they are number one?
Murathe resigned as the deputy vice chairperson of the ruling Jubilee Party.
His opposition to DP Ruto's 2022 candidacy has caused political jitters.
He said that he had observed Ruto and had reached the conclusion that he is not suitable for top office.
