Kilonzo Junior said he has not thought about the idea, noting that he will not be dragged into discussing petty issues.

Speaking on Milele FM on Wednesday, the senator said 'kingpin' politics is not part of his agenda for the Makueni people.

“I am focused on serving Makueni people and will not allow myself to be dragged into kingpin politics,” Kilonzo Junior said.

Kilonzo Junior, however, said the former Vice President is the undisputed Kamba leader.

He said Kalonzo is the only spokesperson of the Kamba community.

The senator condemned the Kamba politicians who are deemed to be fighting Kalonzo stating that the Wiper leader deserves respect.

On Monday two MPs, Fabian Muli (Kangundo) and Irene Kasalu (Kitui) clashed over Kalonzo’s political status.

Kasalu said Kalonzo is the Kamba leader and that other politicians must respect him.

The Kitui MP attacked Ukambani governors Charity Ngilu (Kitui), Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni) and Alfred Mutua (Machakos) accusing them of undermining Kalonzo.

Kasalu said it will take Ukambani governors 20 years to achieve Kalonzo’s political status.

However, Muli differed with her stating that it is time Kamba politicians stopped debating on who should be the community's political kingpin.

Muli said Kalonzo's kingpin title has not benefited the Kamba community.
