In a series of tweets, Miguna contended that Mbogo was a criminal for donning a bulletproof vest and carrying an automatic gun in public.

The constitution, according to the Canada-based lawyer, bars civilians from engaging in Mbogo's 'behaviour' at DusitD2 Hotel.

"No civilian is legally permitted to own automatic weapons, nor are they legally allowed to roam around the City with them. Civilians cannot don bullet-proof vests in public. Lastly, being a licensed gun owner does not make one a police officer. Steve Mbogo is a criminal," Miguna tweeted.

Mbogo has vehemently denied flouting the constitution.

"Our condolences to the families of all the victims of the Dusit D2 Hotel terror attack and millions of Kenyans who are killed every year due to the tyrannical regime's ineptitude, impunity, and corruption. Get both Steve Mbogo & the Indian crook with him, " Miguna doubled down.

In an interview with Milele FM, Mbogo said that the constitution allows citizens to carry the magazine-fed gun he carried to Dusit.

Photos of him and a friend decked out in bulletproof vests and holding guns were widely shared on social media.
