Even before the dust settles on his very public spat with Malindi Member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa, COTU boss Francis Atwoli is now in the cross-hairs of another female legislator.
Speaking at the Orahey Grounds in Wajir County on Saturday, Garissa County Woman Representative Anab Subow fired shots at Atwoli branding him a drunkard.
Her broadside was triggered by Atwoli's Labour Day criticism of Garissa Township Member of Parlament Aden Duale.
Subow warned the flamboyant labour union supremo against castigating Duale.
"You heard an old man called Atwoli speaking, saying that Duale has smoked bhang. I want to tell Atwoli as the county MP of Garissa, Duale is loved by the people of Garissa. He has been elected three times. If there's someone who's a drunkard, it is you..." a visibly incensed Subow said.
At the time of publishing this article, Atwoli had not yet responded to Subow's blistering criticism.
The COTU boss has long accused the outspoken National Assembly Majority Leader of meddling in workers' affairs.
Atwoli has been subject to the relentless castigation of Deputy President Dr William Ruto's allies who have taken umbrage at his constant criticism of the DP.
His commentary on topical issues has ruffled some feathers in the political arena.
