In a tweet on Sunday evening,Kisiang'ani noted that a total of three functions aimed at sensitizing the public and collecting views had been organized since the unveiling of the report.

However, he took a swipe at the planners for giving a wide berth to the individuals who held divergent views concerning the initiative.

The Kenyatta university lecturer alleged that the only common message that had been passed across was the intention to introduce the post of executive prime minister either through Parliamentary constitutional amendment or referendum.

"We have so far had three BBI meetings. From their proceedings, the organizers have refused to acknowledge or even tolerate contrary opinions. The script to be chorused is the same: Go out there n tell the people that the people have resolved to have an Executive PM in Kenya!" Tweeted Kisangani.

The Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report was released in November 2019 at Bomas of Kenya. The first two meetings aimed at collecting views from Kenyans was held in Kakamega county.

The third one which was the most recent was held on Saturday at Mama Ngina grounds in Mombasa county.

Opposition leaders allied to ODM leader Raila Odinga and those the ruling Jubilee party and loyal to president Uhuru Kenyatta have been in the forefront drumming up support for the report.
