Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has advised Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka to ensure he is in good terms with Deputy President William Ruto.
Speaking in Makindu, Makueni County, Murkomen said that it was good Kalonzo was working with President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
"Kalonzo is my friend. I was his 'Kijana ya Mkono' in 2006, its okay Kalonzo for you to walk together with President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga but also walk with Ruto you may never know," said Murkomen.
He urged Kalonzo not to listen to critics prophesying his downfall if he works with DP Ruto.
"Let no one tell you that if you work with DP Ruto you will fall, plan on your own you may never know. (Mtu asikuletee fitina aty ooh ukitembea na Ruto utazama, jipange wewe mwenyewe huwezijua)," Murkomen said.
He said that those discouraging Kalonzo from working with the DP were bent on ensuring he(Kalonzo) goes nowhere politically.
He observed that what was troubling the country as per now was hypocrisy among leaders.
Murkomen spoke during the burial of Rael Mbeleete Mailu, Mother to former Health Cabinet Secretary Cleophas Maillu.
Other leaders present were Deputy President William Ruto, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama among others.
