Led by Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua, the leaders claimed that the anti-Ruto leaders within Jubilee were working with Raila to divide the party which they said is unacceptable.

The MP took issue with Raila over his recent remarks that the 2013 pre-election agreement deal between President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP Ruto cannot be used to hold Kenyans at ransom.

He said that Raila should keep off Jubilee matters noting that the peace experienced in the country was brought about by the deal between Uhuru and Ruto.

According to Gachagua, the planned change to the constitution should not be used to create positions for the few top political elites but should aim to reduce the burden for the common taxpayers.

On his part, Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri alleged that Raila’s political truce with President Kenyatta had killed the peaceful co-existence among members of the Jubilee party.

“The handshake has brought about a lot of confusion and propaganda,” said Ngunjiri.

The two were speaking on Sunday at PCEA Jerusalem in Kiamunyeki village, Bahati Sub County in Nakuru County.
