In the video, Ng'ang'a claimed that some of his bishops and their wives were not respecting his wife like they used to do when they joined his church, adding that they were poor, and in "matuta" hairstyle (linking the style to poverty).

However, renowned musician Suzanne Owiyo has fired back at Ng'ang'a, asking him to focus on his believers' faith and not their hairstyles.

"Every African woman can relate to matutas... There’s that natural aspect look it gives. Matuta is a sexy hair style. Excuse me Pastor Ng ‘ang’a! If you reading this! please focus on the faith of your believers not their matutas...... Lubbish," she tweeted.

Other personalities who have reacted to Ng'ang'a's rants include Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, who said that the preacher's angry outbursts were a sign of the end of times long predicted in the Bible.

Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) CEO Dr Ezekiel Mutua also reacted to the video, stating that there are some good pastors who are preaching the real gospel, but the media is never giving them attention like it does to a few exceptional ones.

"There are genuine men of God in Kenya who walk in integrity and preach the truth, but the media will not focus on them. They will have a field day with Pastor Ng'ang'a's clip. That moment of insanity does not define the church. I know many good pastors who help the poor and conduct themselves with humility and dignity," he said.
