Hundreds of motorists protested on Wednesday morning due to deteriorating situation of Nyachururu road in Bosamaro.
For close to 30 minutes, the angry motorists questioned the competence of Governor John Nyagarama's administration, a day after he was grilled at the Senate.
"This road has been in a pathetic condition. We have struggled to transport our farm products to market yet we pay taxes," argued Stephen Mochama.
Activist Walter Tis added: "We shall convert it to a farm if nothing is done to rectify the situation. This is outright impunity."
The road links Nyamira and Kisii Counties and is often used by locals who visit Ting'a market which generates substantive revenue to the county.
Roads minister John Omanwa asked locals to be patient, adding that his department is improving feeder roads across the county.
"A little patience because our team is moving to every ward to handle bad roads. We have done quite a number so far," he said.
