What would you do with a bull worth Sh400, 000? Well, Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku is a happy and proud man after President Uhuru Kenyatta bought him a bull worth Sh400, 000.
The Head of State and the governor were among the leaders who graced this year’s edition of the Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) show in Mombasa on Thursday, where the governor was given the gift.
After realising that the president had surprised him with the bull, the governor took to social media to express his delight.
“Wish to thank H.E Uhuru Kenyatta for extending his generosity to me and the people of Kajiado by buying me a Sh 400,000 pedigree bull at the Mombasa ASK Show. We value your true friendship and the support you continue to give Kajiado people. Asante sana Rais (Thank you so much president),” the governor posted on Twitter.
During his first term in office, President Kenyatta appointed Ole Lenku the Cabinet Secretary for Interior. He served until 2014 before he was replaced by the late Joseph Nkaissery.
Lenku was then elected Kajiado Governor in 2017 on President Kenyatta’s Jubilee party ticket. He succeeded pioneer Kajiado Governor David Nkedienye who was elected in 2013.
