It emerges that the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) taskforce might have to wait longer, once again, to hand over its report to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Weeks after the team completed its report writing, it is yet to hand over the report to Uhuru and ODM leader Raila Odinga, owing to Uhuru's tight schedule.
The report is not expected to be handed over this week, given that his diary is fully booked for the week.
Uhuru is expected to meet a number of African leaders throughout the week, beginning with bilateral talks with visiting heads of states today (Wednesday).
Uhuru is expected to meet Seychelles President Danny Faure, Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister Gaston Alfonso and Constant Rica Vice President Epsy Campbell Barr today.
On Thursday, the head of state will he meeting Czech Republic Foreign Affairs Minister Thomas Petteicek before opening a regional summit on youth employment on Friday.
In a statement signed by joint secretaries Paul Mwangi and Martin Kimani three weeks ago, the team said that its now ready to hand over the report at any time.
"We have officially communicated to the Office of the President that the BBI report is ready for handing over to the President," read the statement.
