Led by Rachael Otundo and nominated MCA Joyce Ombasa on Wednesday, they accused Governor Ongwae of failing to put measures to curb teenage pregnancies.

"The rate at which our young girls are conceiving is too high. Several teenage girls have dropped out of school due to early pregnancies and the county government of Kisii under the leadership of Ongwae has done nothing to safe," stated Ms Otundo.

She called on local authorities to intervene and ensure men impregnating young girls are taken to court.

The MCA on her part faulted Governor James Ongwae for failing to allocate funds for civic education over early pregnancies.

According to her, Governor Ongwae is silence over teenage pregnancies, adding that time has come for him to come out over the same.

"As nominated MCAs in Kisii, we demand that Ongwae gives in to our request and allocates funds for civic education. We have to eradicate early pregnancies," she said.
