Among the list, Garissa has featured with the Knec chairperson George Magoha stating that the named regions had been placed on the council’s monitoring radar even as both the primary and secondary schools prepare their students in readiness for the exams slated to start in a few weeks time.

Other schools mentioned by Magoha are from Kisii, Central region, parts of Nyanza region, coast region, Eastern region and also West Pokot County.

Speaking on Thursday during the official launch of exam monitoring and storage facilities in Nairobi, the Basic Educations Principal Secretary Dr. Belio Kipsang warned all schools that were planning to leak examinations that they will be shut down and examination administrations suspended as they will no longer be exam centers but scenes of crime.

Even as the ministry puts all the mechanisms in order, it is now official that the class 8 candidates will sit for their examinations as from October 30, 2018, to November 1, 2018, while the Form Four candidates will be due for rehearsals on November 2, 2018, with exams scheduled to kick off on November 5, 2018.
