An ODM governor has dismissed claims that he is lazy in delivering services to the electorates.
Kisii County Governor James Ongwae faulted his political enemies for peddling lies about his leadership.
"I am not lazy as opponents are telling the public. I want to assure the residents of Kisii County that my government is implementing various projects across the county to boost the lives of the people," he said.
According to the Governor, his government is committed to making water more accessible to people.
He said 18 water schemes with over 85km pipeline, 210 water points serving about 4,200 homes, have been constructed already.
"My government in collaboration with that of Nyamira County are working hard to end the leadership wrangles at the Gusii Water and Sanitation Company for our people to continue enjoying plenty supply of water, access good roads, proper health care," he noted.
Ongwae maintained that nothing is going to change him from being a governor until 2022.
"I was elected by people and not few selfish individuals who are interested in spreading propaganda. Hatred in politics won't help anyone win a political seat," he added.
