Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has laughed off suggestions by a section of opposition leaders that Deputy President William Ruto will not succeed president Uhuru Kenyatta.
Sudi termed the leaders as prophets of doom whose prophecies will fail terribly.
“In 2013 the opposition leaders said William Ruto and Uhuru Kenyatta will be jailed and not ascend to power due to the cases they were facing but Kenyans prayed and their cases were withdrawn and thereafter won the election. I believe the same case will be for DP Ruto and he will be president in 2022,” he said in Eldoret town, Monday.
“If God has said that Ruto will be president in 2022 he will surely be even if you block roads and climb on top of trees. If God transformed me from being a tout to an MP surely he will do the same to Ruto,” he the Jubilee MP.
The two-time legislator noted that in 2017 Ruto campaigned for Raila Odinga and 2013 he did the same to President Uhuru Kenyatta and wondered why the opposition is on his neck for campaigning for himself.
A section of opposition leaders has been hitting out at DP Ruto cam for engaging in early campaigns with some saying he will not succeed in his bid to be the next head of state.
