A video has emerged of a woman, donning what appears to be a turquoise coat, dozing just behind Deputy President William Ruto.
The head of the woman bobs with her eyes closed as Ruto delivers a speech in the wake of a controversy touched off by former Jubilee Party vice chairperson David Murathe.
He was speaking in Sugoi, Uasin Gishu County and was addressing the leaders of Bomet and Vihiga counties.
It's either the woman was overwhelmed with fatigue or she was just bored.
She appears to be in a state of semi-wakefulness and is seen in the video clapping.
In the video, Ruto says that he is ready to be subjected to the governing party's nomination process like anyone else.
