There are many indications to tell that this may not be actual President Uhuru's words or mind  but just what "Ruto's haters" are spreading.

It is on record President Uhuru saying previously during campaigns that he will be supporting Ruto after his tenure, but at no point has he ever said he won't support Ruto.

The only thing the president has done, especially after handshake is not to involve himself in politics as he wants to prioritize development.

It then doesn't make sense that by trying to prioritize development over politics, the president is said to be indicating he won't support Ruto come 2022.

During the televised interview on Friday, the President distanced himself from 2022 politics, that means he is not involved in whatever people are speculating and he clearly knows what he is doing.

"Those speaking about succession are on their own. We have our own party and our plans ahead, just like the others, but we must prepare the country in the manner in which we have started with Mheshimiwa Raila....," President Kenyatta said during the interview.

Talking of the Jubilee plans, it's clear that Ruto is to succeed Uhuru, there is no other person as it stands, who will succeed Uhuru according to Jubilee party plan.

It is therefore wrong for people to state that by focusing on development and legacy, President Uhuru is betraying the agreement with Ruto.

We are just entering 2019, three more years for 2022 politics remaining , those expecting Uhuru not to support Ruto will be surprised.

It was said in 2013 that partnership between Uhuru and Ruto won't last by 2017 but it did.
