People who witnessed car reversing from a vessel and plunge into the ocean at Likoni Channel have been asked to record a statement with the police to facilitate a quick investigation.
Likoni Sub-county Police Commander Benjamin Rotich asked Kenyans who saw everything as it unfolded to record a statement.
“We are appealing to those who witnessed the accident to come record statements and help us in investigations,” said Rotich as quoted by People Daily.
A car on September 29th slid from a vessel. MV Harambee moving from Likoni main land towards Mombasa Island and plunged into the Indian Ocean before docking.
The car occupants, a mother, Mariam Kighenda and her daughter Amanda Mutheu died in the tragedy.
