Kenyan club AFC Leopards were nocked out of the Sportspesa Cup after a 2-1 loss to Tanzanian club Simba SC.
The Tanzanian Premier League Champions went into the match as clear favourites due to AFC Leopards' poor form in the Kenya Premier league this season.
The home side anzanian started the game well and got their reward on the 13th minute after midfield star Okwi controlled the ball well inside the penalty box and slotted in the first goal of the game.
Simba continued to dominate the first half and created better chances, but the scores remained 1-0 at halftime.
Simba picked from where they left in the second half, with Okwi turning provider just 3 minutes after the second half kick off, for Chama to slot into an empty net for the second goal.
Substitution of Aziz Okaka by AFC Leopard quickly made a big impact as his first touch began a move that led to Ingwe's first and only goal against the run of play.
There was an improved performance by AFC after the goal but that proved to be too late for the former Kenyan cchampions.
The result at the final whistle confirmed that both AFC and their rivals For Mahia had been eliminated after a single match each.
