Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) kicked off on Monday morning in Turbo Sub County.
Speaking after witnessing the opening of the exam container on Monday Turbo sub-county Director of Education Kuyo Ole Saoinah said everything went as planned and no challenges have been witnessed.
“I want to confirm the exam container was opened at 6:00 am thereafter distributed to exam centers in Turbo Sub County. So far no challenges have been witnessed,” said Ole Saoinah.
He reiterated that there are enough vehicles to transport the exams to various places in the county.
“A total of 3,776 candidates will sit for their examinations from Turbo Sub-county where 1,786 are girls while 1990 boys,” he added.
He, however, put on notice students and members of the public against engaging in exam irregularities, noting that anyone caught will be dealt with in accordance to the law.
Ole Saoinah further said in Uasin Gishu County a total of 19,138 students will sit for their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) where 9,407 students are male while 9,731 are female.
Turbo MP Janet Sitienei who was also present wished all students all the best and warned them against cheating.
A quick spot check in various schools including; Umoja Secondary, Uasin Gishu Secondary, and Central Secondary school showed that the exams kicked off smoothly.
