Majority leader Aden Duale is the latest public figure to fall victim to the fake news syndicate. Denying role in a purported Sexual Enterprise bill circulating in the social media, Duale revealed that he has never tabled any bill in the House as such.

Issuing a clarification via his social media page on Thursday, the Garissa Township MP advised Kenyans to treat the matter as fake news.

"A purported bill named Sexual Enterprise bill circulating in social media is fake and should be treated with the contempt it deserves. I have no such bill either published or having been tabled in the House. Please be advised accordingly," Duale tweeted.

A similar clarification was also issued in the Parliament's official Twitter page, clearly stating that the alleged Sexual Offences bill was fake and should be ignored.

"A purported bill named Sexual Enterprise bill by Leader of Majority circulating in social media is fake and should be treated with the contempt it deserves. Majority Leader Aden Duale has no such bill either published or having tabled in the House. Please be advised accordingly," clarified the National Assembly Majority leader.
