Speaking on Sunday at Ragogo Pentecostal Assemblies of God (PAG) church in Kegogi, Mr Angwenyi said he may, after all, be on the ballot due to lack of serious contenders eyeing the MP seat.

The Deputy Majority Leader at the National Assembly said he is still strong enough to continue serving the people of Kitutu Chache North.

"I will not shy off from vying for the MP seat in 2022 because the people who should be competing with me have not shown their seriousness. Despite that I have served for long in politics, I will still not feel bad if I continue to be the area MP," said Angwenyi amid cheers.

He challenged youthful leaders seeking political seats to stop dwelling so much on propaganda politics.

According to Angwenyi, youthful politicians are good at spreading falsehood and insulting ageing leaders, but poor in service delivery.

"The tendency of young politicians insulting old politicians must stop because no voter will vote for a leader who prioritises falsehood and divisive politics," he stated.
