Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang has condemned the heinous killing of Ndooni Primary School teacher.
Speaking at Kipkaren Primary School on Friday while monitoring CBC Grade 4 delivery and textbook supply on Friday Belio said tough action will be taken against the killers.
Daisy Mbathe Mbaluka was reportedly heading to school for the new term on Monday morning when she was attacked.
“I want to condemn the killing of Ndooni Primary school teacher with strongest terms possible, this is inhuman and she did not deserve it,” said the PS.
“It was an unfortunate situation but I want to assure Kenya stern actions will be taken, we are engaging with our colleague in the security department to conduct thorough investigation and bring to book all those involve in the heinous act,” added Kipsang.
Kipsang said the Ministry of Education is engaging with other stakeholders in conducting investigations, saying the female teacher didn't deserve to be killed.
He noted that the performance of children in school is not the sole responsibility of teachers, noting that parents too have a concern on the same.
Education Principal Secretary further said they have put in place measures to ensure that the security of teachers across the country is guaranteed and no such act will be repeated.
