ODM Secretary-General has affirmed that people from the Coastal part of Kenya have fully comprehended the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
In a tweet on Saturday evening, Sifuna asserted that the Coastal region had proven that they knew what was contained in the report as shown by how they spoke during the Mombasa BBI rally.
According to the ODM official, several problems like land injustices, the port of Mombasa and extra-judicial killings were well articulated by the locals.
"The coastal people have demonstrated that they understand what BBI is all about. I listened carefully as they articulated proposals to address their perennial problems from land injustices, the Port, extra-judicial killings etc. They get it," Sifuna tweeted.
On Saturday, leaders from across the political divide attended the Mombasa BBI rally.
The opposition side was led by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga and his Wiper Democratic Movement counterpart Kalonzo Musyoka.
ODM Director of Elections Junet Mohammed, ODM Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho among others were also at the function.
Further, Jubilee's Kieleweke led by Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu and Tanga Tanga led by Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen also attended the event.
