Tiaty Member of Parliament has backed calls for Deputy President William Ruto's resignation ahead of the 2022 general elections where he is expected to go for the presidential seat.
The DP has been under pressure to resign, with his critics accusing him of undermining President Uhuru Kenyatta, also because of his many corruption implications.
Speaking on KTN's Point Blank Wednesday night, the MP said that the DP should hastily resign, noting that his disrespect for the president does not allow him to stay longer.
"The sooner he goes the better. He has very little respect for his boss," he said when asked about his opinion on Ruto's possible resignation by host Tony Gachoka.
This comes at a time when Ruto has been under fire for continuously engaging in premature politicking, despite Uhuru's calls for calm to enable the Jubilee government deliver on his campaign promises.
The parliamentarian who ironically hails from Ruto's Rift Valley bedrock added that the DP appears so obsessed with his bid that he is becoming a national problem.
"What is going on is premature politics engineered by an impatient presidential candidate who has gone rabid in his ambitions," he added.
However, the DP had repeatedly insisted that he is not engaging in politicking, claiming that his national tours, which have been termed campaign trips, are development-based.
