The management of the Dusitd2 Hotel on Riverside Drive in Westlands, Nairobi has announced its plans to reopen six months after a terror attack that left 21 persons dead.
The hotel, which is owned by a Thailand citizen, had closed down after the January attack. The Al Shabaab militia has taken responsibility for the shooting after it occurred.
The management has closed the hotel for the said period even as other offices at the premise were opened after the incident. The management has assured customers of security as it opens its doors to continue with business as usual.
The owners said that they took some time to train the staff on different aspects including security reinforcement.
“During the time of our closure, we have taken time to train our staff in various aspects including customer service in line with the global Dusit Hotels and Resorts. In order to reinforce the safety of our guests, we have also enhanced security measures right from the entrance of the 14 Riverside Complex,” read the statement, as quoted by Daily Nation.
The government has also put in place more measures to ensure the customers and staff are staff whenever they visit the place.
Dusit2 team has said that terrorists will not make them get out business. The attack claimed that lives of six workers of the firm. Terror is one of the terrorists that the government has been facing.
