Former Kakamega gubernatorial hopeful has told off Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju for failing to recognize his (Khalwale) defection to the ruling party.
According to Khalwale, Raphael Tuju was too insignificant to receive him into the ruling party.
Speaking at a fundraising event in Vihiga County on Sunday, the vocal politician referred to Tuju as a conman, adding that he was 'very junior' in Jubilee.
He said that Tuju became a one-term MP after failing to be reelected in the next parliament at that time.
"Kuna mkora mwingine,a very junior man, mwenye tulikuwa na yeye kwa bunge, miaka tano peke yake.He was never reelected. Akashindwa kura. Anaitwa Raphael Tuju (There is a conman who is a very junior man.We were with him in parliament for only five years. He was never reelected. He is called Raphael Tuju," stated Khalwale.
Khalwale claimed that Tuju deliberately refused to recognize his newly found membership in Jubilee because he (Tuju) was not the one who received him into the party.
He said that the deputy party leader, William Ruto, who is among the senior most officials received him and not Tuju.
" Raphael Tuju, you are very junior. You cannot receive me in any party. I was received by the deputy party leader William Ruto," furious Khalwale told Tuju.
