Tiaty Member of parliament Kassait Kamket has weighed in on the announcement by the Tangatanga wing of the governing Jubilee party that it will hold a Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) rally in Nakuru.
Writing on Twitter on Monday, the outspoken Kenya African National Union (KANU) legislator welcomed it as good news, terming it good riddance.
Kamket appeared to suggest that it was right that they held their own meetings using the analogy of wheat being separated from chaff to drive the point home.
"That Tangatanga have opted for separate rallies is not news. Good riddance. The wheat had to be separated from the chaff. Sasa KITUI ni Dry Dry. BBI A, See u in Kitui, " the Tiaty Member of Parliament said in his Monday tweet.
Deputy President Dr William Ruto's allies announced on Monday after being holed up in a meeting in Naivasha that they would hold a meeting in Nakuru county.
They denied claims that their meetings would be parallel to the ones being held by ODM leader Raila Odinga and his allies.
Another meeting is expected to be held in Kitui county to be graced by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader on Saturday to be hosted by Governor Charity Ngilu.
