The governor said that the process has been halted because of public ridicule and nuisance.

He said the decision follows an incident in which locals took him to court after he hired 700 persons forcing him to revoke their letters.

He also noted that the youth tried to use their representatives to force him to recruit them thereby forcing him to halt the process.

“I want the youth to understand that if they continue to spoil our name through social media, we shall not offer them job opportunities. We are the only employer and the youth should not just criticise us for no reason,” Roba said, as quoted by Daily Nation.

He further asked the youths from the county to stop portraying his administration in bad faith.

The county boss said that he is confident that the current workforce has what it takes to complete the remaining part of his term in office.

“The number of staff we have can work for the next three years without us having to employ more people,” he said.

He also said that his government is committed to ensuring that it delivers on his promises before the end of his tenure.
