A Jubilee youth leader from Gusii region has reacted after ODM party expelled Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa from the party over gross misconduct.
The MP is accused of drumming support for Deputy President William Ruto ahead the 2022 general elections.
Jubilee youth leader Isaac Motari said ODM party could have pardoned Jumwa.
"It is sad news I have heard that the opposition party led by the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has expelled the female MP from the party because of her alliance with DP Ruto. She could have been given another chance because she extended the handshake to DP Ruto," he said.
According to the vocal Jubilee leader, ODM party has not done justice for the lawmaker.
"Jumwa's expulsion shows that ODM doesn't value democracy. This is not time to expel rebel MPs but, time for preaching peace in this country after the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) was born following the historic handshake between Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta," he stated.
He challenged political party leaders and disciplinary committee to stop being tough on those politicians who reaches out to others from different political parties.
