The former Prime Minister has been put on the spot lately over an alleged attempt to use his reconciliation with President Uhuru Kenyatta to push Ruto out of the bloc.

Speaking on Monday morning, the commentator said that Raila should expect more of that even if he is innocent, after leaving the team with nothing else to do.

He said that Raila's decision to drop his opposition of Uhuru's leadership has left the team with nowhere to direct its political energy, forcing it to get reasons to attack him.

The commentator noted that though Raila is no longer a threat to Uhuru, the group sees him as the only person that can give them the relevance they need, both for themselves and the DP.

"Watu wa Ruto hawana option nyingine ila kutafuta mtu wa kumlaumu na hawamwoni mwingine ila Raila. (They don't have anyone else to take blame but Raila)," he said.

However, the analyst observed that the veteran politician is being unfairly targeted, saying that he is completely harmless to the party and cannot break it in any way.

He stated that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party boss is an outsider in Jubilee, wondering how he can manage to break the party as is being claimed.

"Raila si mwanachama wa Jubilee na hana ujuzi wowote kuhusu chama kile, kwa hivyo hivi ni visingizio tu (he cannot break the part because he is not even aware of how things work in Jubilee)," he added.

Ruto has also openly aired similar claims repeatedly, warning Raila that his alleged plans will not succeed as Jubilee members will stand strong to defend the bloc.
