A woman who has been gossiping about her ex-lover received a thorough beating from the angry man.
The incident happened on Sunday evening at Nyabiosi village in Kisii County.
Jenifer Kerubo who is 6 months pregnant was beaten by her ex-lover, Abel Nyakundi.
Nyakundi said his decision to beat the pregnant woman is because she has been gossiping about him wherever she goes.
“She gossips about me wherever she goes telling everybody in the village that I have impregnated her. I found her while I was leaving home, questioned her why she has been walking around telling lies to people and she failed to explain. I beat her up so that she can stop tarnishing my name in the village,” said Nyakundi.
According to Nyakundi, he is not responsible for the Kerubo’s pregnancy.
“I dropped her in February after I found love messages from another man in her phone. Her new man ended up impregnating her and dumped her. She has now turned against me spoiling my name in the whole village. I am not responsible for her pregnancy,” he noted.
Mary Ondoro, a Nyumba Kumi official confirmed the incident and said Kerubo and Nyakundi hail from the same village, Nyabiosi, therefore, there will be no marriage between them.
She said Kerubo sustained injuries on her forehead following the blows she got from the man.
Ondoro warned Kerubo against dragging innocent men to her pregnancy.
