Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has praised Citizen TV anchor Hussein Mohamed.
In a tweet on Friday evening, Khalwale who reacted after Hussein announced his exit from Citizen TV said: ''I have had the opportunity to be interviewed, live, by just about all the top media personalities in Kenya. I can positively confirm that Hussein Mohamed is the best political anchor in Kenya today. Exist Royal Media, yes, but remain on our screens,'' wrote Khalwale.
Hussein was a political interviewer at the Royal Media Service-owned station.
During his time at the station, he interviewed a number of high profile figures in the country who include Deputy President William Ruto, Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga among others.
Mohamed on Friday announced that he will be leaving Citizen TV.
''It has been a wonderful 10 years at Citizen TV. I have enjoyed & relished every moment I shared with my colleagues at RMS. I have decided to take a break after October In Sha Allah to concentrate on other matters. Loved the fans, the critics & everything in between. See you soon,'' said Hussein Mohamed.
He joins a number of top hosts who have left the station.
