Governor Ali Korane has issued a stern warning to local politicians over what he said are clandestine meetings to bring him and his loyals down.
Korane said the meetings which have been held in and outside Garissa were to curtail meaningful developments across the county.
Speaking on Tuesday during the commissioning of emergency ambulances in Garissa, Korane slammed 'some unnamed politicians' who he alleged were convening clandestine meetings in the city of Nairobi to destabilise the county assembly.
"Some people are holding meetings in Nairobi to discuss how to bring the county down. We are aware of your meetings and missions but I assure that you won't succeed to stop development initiatives from proceeding," Said Korane.
The governor's sentiments follow rife speculations that have been spreading across the county that a section of MCAs was planning to impeach the speaker of the county assembly, Ibrahim Ahmed Abbas.
