Deputy President William Ruto has been asked to keep off DCI George Kinoti and his team over the ongoing dams scandal probe.
Moticho ward MCA Evans Mokoro said DP Ruto should stop panicking over DCI's involvement in corruption war.
"Mr Ruto should know only looters are being targeted in graft war. It is time he should respect the DCI and give DCI team humble time to arrest graft lords," he said on Wednesday in Kisii town.
Mr Mokoro wondered why DP Ruto will be angered with the DCI's involvement in the corruption war.
"If Ruto is not a looter why is he opposed to graft war. Let him tell Kenyans if he is a looter or not otherwise, opposing DCI bring out a picture that DP Ruto is among those who have looted public money," said the ward rep.
He appealed to leaders to support the DCI, EACC and DPP in the fight against corruption.
"Public funds must be respected. Whoever found stealing should be arrested to face the full force of the law," he added.
The MCA argued that corruption will derail development projects thus Kenyans will continue suffering.
