There was drama at Omokonge area in Nyamira County on Sunday after a 27-year-old man was caught red-handed having sex with his 66-year-old grandmother.
Wilson Obutu, a chang’aa addict sneaked into his grandmother’s house where they were found in bed naked.
“I heard some funny noises emanating from the granny’s house and rushed there to confirm what was happening. I pushed the door inside which was not locked and I couldn’t believe my eyes seeing my husband in bed with the aged grandmother having sex,” said Zipporah Obutu, the man’s wife.
Obutu said she immediately raised alarm and neighbors responded quickly.
"Neighbors arrived and saw by their naked eyes my husband in bed with the granny. I will leave the marriage,” she said.
Confirming the incident area chief Moses Nyakang’o said the man and the old mother were beaten by angry neighbours before Nyumba Kumi officials rescued them.
“It is not clear who seduced another but we will give more details once the elders discuss the matter today, Monday. It is so shameful for the married man to sleep with his old grandmother,” said Nyakang’o.
He called on married couples to seek spiritual guidance to ensure their marriages are straight.
