Vocal Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika has dismissed that claims that Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) was meant to unite Kenyans.
In a recent post on Monday on Twitter, Kihika said that there was no need to sugarcoat the issue but address it as an initiative to create positions for specific individuals.
"Now that the cat is out of the bag, let us drop the charade about bldg bridges to nowhere; BBI was never about uniting Kenyans but about creating positions for perennial losers & reluctant retirees. These political conmen really thing we are fools," tweeted Kihika.
Kihika who is an ally of Deputy President William Ruto has been on the forefront to criticize the handshake, calling it a plan by political brokers to take the opportunity to remain relevant.
Alluding to ODM leader Raila Odinga, she said that it was a desperate attempt to use BBI to enter into leadership, terming them backdoor means.
"Grasping at Straws! Folks this is what DESPERATION looks like! He KNOWS he has NO path to VICTORY Against Ruto, therefore the pedestrian, populist pronouncements. ENTER BBI. Wants to be sneaked in through the BACK DOOR!" She tweeted.
The female legislator remarks follow remarks by the former premier that BBI is meant to bring change to the country and solve some of the issues the country has been having such as poverty.
" We want to bring change in our country so that we find a way to help our people. Kenya has been independent for 56 years but our people still have the same problems from yesteryears,” Raila said during burial of former Siaya County Council Chairman Elisha Orodo in Bondo.
The deputy président has defended his stand on opposing the BBI rallies citing wastage of public funds resources.
