A 25-year-old woman from Bondo in Siaya County is nursing stab wounds after she was stabbed by her husband on Tuesday evening.
Everline Akinyi Otieno, a teacher at St Paul's Gulf Academy was in class teaching when the husband attacked her.
The lady narrated that her furious husband identified as Kevin Otieno, 32, stormed the class and asked for her phone then went out.
Minutes later, he returned and started beating her mercilessly before drawing a knife and stabbing her in the neck and left cheek, as shocked pupils called for help.
The incident was confirmed by the school's director Mr Indere Ambajo who said that the man tried to escape after committing the crime.
However, an angry mob caught up with him and gave him a dog's beating before the police arrived and rescued him.
The man is however said to have been later released under unclear circumstances.
The teacher was taken to Bondo sub-county hospital for treatment.
She disclosed to Ramogi FM that they have been having domestic wrangles for a long time, adding that the husband had threatened to kill her on many occasions.
