Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina has launched a scathing attack against President Uhuru Kenyatta following the reorganization of the cabinet.
In a tweet on Wednesday, Ledama faulted President Kenyatta for appointing two new Cabinet Secretaries from the same community.
He noted that Kenya belongs to several communities yet the President opted to give two slots to one community. He claimed that the action of the head of state amounts to a tribal card meant to benefit his kinsmen.
He was referring to the appointment of Mutahi Kagwe into the health docket and Betty Maina who was handed the Trade docket. The trade docket was left by Peter Munya who now heads the Agriculture office following the sacking of embattled Mwangi Kiunjuri.
“Kenya hii kweli ni ya kabila Moja! ( Kenya is for one tribe) Two new cabinet secretaries from one tribe? Mr. President hiyo sii poa!!! I thought we were talking inclusivity ??? Very sad," he tweeted.
Defence CS Raychelle Omamo was moved to the Foreign Affairs docket.
Other changes included Simon Chelugui (Labor), Sicily Kariuki (Water), Monica Juma (Defence) and CS Ukur Yattani(Treasury Ministry).
After being shown the door, Kiunjuri has now declared that he will soon stage a comeback into the political scene. He also thanked the President for giving him the chance to serve in his government.
