Solai killer dam owner Perry Mansukh, dam General Manager Vinoj Kumar and four other people charged with manslaughter in relation to the May 9 tragedy have been remanded in prison pending their bond application ruling on Monday next week.
Naivasha Law Courts Principal Magistrate Joseph Karanja said that he will make a ruling on Monday on whether to release or not to release the accused persons on bond or bail.
He ruled that the accused persons are now in the hands of the courts and can no longer be detained at police stations.
Mansukh and five others pleaded not guilty to 48 counts of manslaughter and neglect of duty.
The prosecution is opposing their release on bond or bail on grounds that they are a flight risk and could interfere with witnesses.
