A man in Kisumu widely known as Kajiwe has shocked many after it emerged that he does not feel any form of pain.
His case is surprising since he is a normal human being who eats, works, laughs and does all the things other humans do. However, his distinguishing trait is that he does not feel pain.
In an interview with a Hivisasa writer, Kajiwe noted that his mother gave him the name while he was still a child and not because his body is hard.
Kajiwe explained that he loves music, and goes around Kisumu playing the guitar which he made on his own.
During the interview, he divulged that he doesn’t feel pain, and because most people don’t believe him, he likes proving his doubters wrong.
“Mimi nashukuru Mungu aliniumba hivi. Sihisi uchungu. (I thank God that he created me this way. I don't feel pain),” he said.
He has developed scars all over his body trying to prove to people that he doesn’t feel pain.
Regarding when he discovered his unique trait, Kajiwe did not specify the exact date or year just saying "kitambo" (long ago).
Since most people do not believe that he has the unique trait, Kajiwe is always forced to head-butt and punch walls.
“He head-butts walls, he cuts his skin to bleed and punches on the wall with his bare fists. Right now, there are swellings on his forehead. We try as a family to stop him but he will never listens to any of us,” said Kennedy Ochieng’, his cousin.
