Borabu MP Ben Momanyi argued that residents of Nyamira county are yet to realise the benefits of the devolved system of government.

"I'm appealing to Governor Nyagarama to work for the people of Nyamira so that the benefits of devolution governance can be seen in the county because Nyamira people have not seen the importance of devolution," he said.

The vocal MP allied to opposition claimed that Governor Nyagarama has not launched or initiated any visible project in the county.

He reiterated the need for the county boss to lead by example.

"Nyagarama is the first governor to be elected. Those who will come after him will follow his footsteps. Let him consider being a development oriented person before his time ends in 2022," said the lawmaker.

Mr Momanyi regretted that a section of MCAs have been fighting because of allowances instead of championing for development.

The Wiper party elected MP assured that Nyagarama will not have peace once he retires if he will steal funds meant for development in Nyamira.
