A 14-member Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) task force has contradicted itself over the release of the much-awaited report.
One task force's members Major (Rtd) John Seii, on Monday said the report is not yet ready and won't be delivered to President Uhuru Kenyatta in the course of this week.
Major Seii told the People Daily that they were still working on the report and that its outcome will shake the political landscape.
“Definitely, it is not happening this week but before the end of the month. What I can only say is that the writing of the report is going on smoothly,” said Major (Rtd) Seii.
Contrary to his sentiments, the task force's secretary, Paul Mwangi, said the report had been completed and they were only looking forward to handing it over to the President.
“We are ready with the report and the handing over will take place on a day which will be decided by the president’s protocol,” Mwangi said on Saturday.
While both President Uhuru and ODM party leader Raila Odinga are set to support the BBI report, many Kenyans are still in darkness over its proposals.
