Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has rubbished former Kitutu Chache South MP contestant Antony Kibagendi's involvement in the county politics.
Maangi said Kibagendi is trying to use the media to seek fame after he terribly lost to the current MP Richard Onyonka.
The ODM allied politician termed as false the claims that he slapped Kibagendi on Friday last week at Kisii Sports Club after a disagreement ensued between them.
"It is unfortunate that somebody (Kibagendi) is trying to gain cheap publicity by claiming that I slapped him on grounds that he supported Onyonka for Kisii gubernatorial seat in 2022 instead of me. He should engage people of his class," he noted.
Maangi stated that propaganda will not make the Jubilee loser to gain his lost popularity in the county.
According to Maangi, he won't waste time engaging a desperate aspiring politician who has no vision.
"The media should not rush to report allegations which are untrue. It is high time political leaders to wake up and engage in politics based on development," said Maangi.
He maintained that he has all it takes to be the next county boss.
